falling back

we fell back, early
arms pulling me in, warm.
it was eight thirty,
so really nine thirty,
I don’t know I don’t
remember
falling asleep.
knotted limbs fade easy
into darkness like smoke whisp
deeper into your arms
weaving around the world,
away from your voice.

but we woke, early
gold light separating cracks
letting out smoke still
wrapped around my mind,
weaving through my ears
falling together
a whisper of my name.
